Hello, I am Riccardo Correia.

My journey of discovery started when I spent a year living in the US as an international student. That was the first time I felt that crazy mix: the wonder of living in a new culture and the quiet longing for home.

Some time later, 11 years ago, I left Brazil for good to start a new life in Canada. And that longing hit me hard again. I always missed that genuine, daily connection with my roots.

SOLA was born from a very personal desire. I needed to create something that would make me feel a little bit closer to my country. A mantra, a word, a visual reminder I could wear every single day.

But life expands us. After all this time living in North America, diving into the energy of the US and the Canadian lifestyle, I realized my heart had grown. My identity was no longer from just one place.

That is when it clicked. I saw I was not alone in this feeling.

Immigrants, former exchange students, travelers, and people deeply in love with their cultures take huge pride in carrying the words and the energy of the places they love. Whether it is the country where they were born, the land that welcomed them, or that place that marked their youth forever.

There is magic in that. Sometimes, a single phrase on a hat has the power to make us feel here and there at the exact same second.
